Friends,
The U.S. Supreme Court rejected a challenge to restrict commonly used abortion pill mifepristone, ensuring the drug can remain widely available. But we want to make one thing clear: The fight for our reproductive freedoms in Ohio is just getting started.
We have THREE Supreme Court races on the ballot this year that will decide the future of reproductive rights in Ohio. Following today’s decision from the U.S. Supreme Court, we can guarantee that Ohio Republicans’ attacks on abortion will only become more intense. We know it because their history speaks for itself:
After Roe was overturned, Governor Mike DeWine wasted no time banning abortion at 6 weeks. THEN after we passed Issue 1 last November, Attorney General Dave Yost appealed to have it enforced anyway.
Every time Ohio voters stand up to protect our rights, Ohio Republicans push back to restrict reproductive healthcare.
But if we re-elect Justice Michael Donnelly and Justice Melody Stewart and elect Judge Lisa Forbes to the Ohio Supreme Court this fall, we can FINALLY put a stop to Republican threats to reproductive freedom in Ohio.
Frank LaRose is purging the voter rolls AGAIN.
This time, about 60,000 names were removed from the rolls. That could be the margin of victory for the Senate race in our state this year.
With another nail-biter election on the horizon, it’s critical that EVERY eligible Ohio voter can make their voice heard.
Voting rights are the foundation of our democracy. Unfortunately, our voting rights are under threat from the corrupt Ohio GOP’s voter purging.
Ohio Democrats are fighting back against their voter suppression by calling purged voters to encourage them to re-register to vote in the critical upcoming election. But we can’t do it alone.
That’s why today, we have one quick question for you regarding our average donation:
» Are you ready to stand with the Ohio Democratic Party and protect our right to vote in 2024? «
The GOP is doing everything possible to silence the voices of Ohioans ahead of our historic November election. And we’re doing whatever it takes to stop them.
We need to raise $20,000 before our mid-month fundraising deadline at midnight on Sunday, and we’re counting on this grassroots team to help us make it happen.
Thank you,
Emily Feltz, Team ODP
