Help us restore abortion rights

In the wake of the Trump-appointed Supreme Court’s overturn of Roe vs. Wade in 2022, Missouri became the first state to effectively make every abortion illegal due to a Republican trigger law. Out of the nearly two dozen states that have enacted abortion restrictions, Missouri has one of the most restrictive laws in the country, with a near-total ban.

Now that folks understand just how extreme the attacks on women’s freedom are, the backlash is growing, and we’re working as hard as we can to turn that energy into election wins and passing a new ballot initiative to protect abortion rights. Can I count on you to rush a donation before we have to submit our signatures on Sunday, May 5th?

We know that the majority of Missouri Republican, Democratic, and Independent voters believe their neighbors should have the fundamental right to make their own, personal medical decisions without interference from out-of-touch politicians. This initiative petition will provide an opportunity for Missouri voters to send the message loud and clear to stop these attacks on our most intimate freedoms.

That’s why all of us here at the Missouri Democratic Party have been working relentlessly to collect enough signatures to ensure that we can get an initiative on the ballot to restore abortion rights in Missouri— but we’re facing strong opposition from Republicans in the legislature who are attacking Missourian’s basic right to vote to try and keep us from protecting abortion rights.
