Last night, Attorney General Dave Yost announced that he’s working overtime to keep aspects of Ohio’s draconian abortion ban in place, even after Ohioans overwhelmingly voted yes on Issue 1 last November and protected abortion access.

After Roe was overturned, Yost took legal action to activate Ohio’s 6-week abortion ban in mere minutes. Then an Ohio judge blocked the ban. Now Yost is arguing that even though Ohioans passed a constitutional amendment to protect abortion access, he still has a right to regulate women’s reproductive freedoms and his 6-week ban should be allowed.
Now the decision is in the hands of the judges.
