Blue Thursday is coming January 18

Blue Thursday featuring Renato Mariotti

Are you keeping up with the legal adventures of the Very Stable Genius who used to be president? Which judge did he just insult? Which prosecutor did he attack today? Which witnesses flipped? Which motions flopped? Trump’s own lawyers can barely keep track, and they’re getting paid—maybe.

Fortunately, Renato Mariotti stays on top of The Former Guy’s many trials so we don’t have to. You’re probably familiar with our friend Renato: you’ve read his legal column in Politico, or heard his podcast It’s Complicated, or seen him doing his legal analyst thing on CNN or MSNBC. He’s the former federal prosecutor everyone wants to talk to these days, and he’ll be talking with us at the next Blue Thursday January 18. Come meet him and buy him a beer.

Blue Thursday, as if you didn’t know, is our monthly political happy hour at the legendary Hideout Inn. We gather and catch up, enjoy an after-work beverage, and pick the brains of the pols, press, and pundits who generously give us their time. The bar opens at 5:30, program starts at 6. It’s free and open to all, but please RSVP here. Bring several friends! And if you can’t be there in person, catch the livestream at facebook.com/IndivisibleChi.

Are you ready for 2024?

We mean the political year 2024. You know, the one that will decide the future of women’s healthcare, the polar ice caps, Gaza and Ukraine, and democracy itself. We’re getting ready here at Blue Beginning and Indivisible Chicago, hatching our strategy and lining up the volunteer opportunities that will give you the best chance to make a difference. We’ll brief you in a campaign newsletter that’s launching soon. Make sure you get it! If you’re not already on Indivisible Chicago’s list (not the same as this one), sign up now at indivisiblechicago.com/join-us.
