The Ohio Scoop is your weekly political fix, filled with the most up-to-date information about Ohio Democrats and everything happening on the campaign trail here in Ohio. We’re here so you can get your political scoop, all in one place.
If you’re new to the list, welcome. You were added because you are one of Ohio Democrats’ best supporters. For those of you who are returning, welcome back.
We need to fill you in on everything that happened this week, so let’s jump right in.
Abortion is the Law of the Land
This Thursday, State Issue 1 took effect after Ohioans voted overwhelmingly to protect reproductive rights and overturn Ohio’s dangerous abortion ban. As of December 7th, abortion access is officially protected in the Ohio Constitution.
We are proud of the work that so many Ohioans did to make this day a reality. From the bottom of our hearts here at ODP…

BFFs!
In case you missed it, Bernie Moreno’s best-friend-forever left him a little message this week.
Santos thanking Moreno for his max-out donation to his congressional campaign last year which was not a joke.
When Millionaire Moreno isn’t busy giving campaign contributions to liars, he’s hosting fundraisers at private jet centers with…Newt Gingrich.
I was today years old when I learned that private jet centers are a thing that exist.
Also, what is that saying that goes, “tell me your company and I”ll tell you who you are?” I’m not sure why, but that saying comes to mind when I think about Moreno palling around with George Santos and Newt Gingrich.
The rest of GOP Senate candidates are up to their old tricks. That means Loser LaRose is being ultra-partisan and sketchy, and Millionaire Matt is cosplaying as a republican.
To top it off, despite 57% of Ohioans making their voices clear, Bernie Moreno, Frank LaRose, and Matt Dolan would all override Ohioans by voting for a national abortion ban in the Senate.
We can’t afford to have any of these bozos represent us in the U.S. Senate.

BREAKING: We just endorsed Ohio’s incumbent House Democrats
Today, we’re proud to endorse all five U.S. House Democratic incumbents for re-election to Congress: Joyce Beatty, Shontel Brown, Marcy Kaptur, Greg Landsman, and Emilia Sykes.

There’s no doubt that control of the U.S. House will run directly through Ohio.
If we want to reverse the chaos we’ve seen in Washington under the Republican majority, we have no other option but to protect our House incumbents here in Ohio and send them back to Congress next year.
Re-electing Joyce, Shontel, Marcy, Greg, and Emilia is the only way we can move our state and our country forward
Until Next Time
2023 has been a monumental and hopeful chapter of Ohio’s story that deserves much celebration. Control of the U.S. Senate and U.S. House will undoubtedly run through Ohio in 2024. Ohio will also be the only state in the nation with an opportunity to gain control of the state Supreme Court. With two statewide wins under our belt, Ohio Dems are ready to win – again. Consider chipping in to help us win in 2024 and beyond!
If you’re unsure about how much more you can contribute, simply reply to this email. We’d be happy to help.
As always, thank you for standing with us. I am immensely grateful for your partnership.
