Friends,
The Ohio Scoop is your weekly political fix, filled with the most up-to-date information about Ohio Democrats and everything happening on the campaign trail here in Ohio. We’re here so you can get your political scoop, all in one place.
If you’re new to the list, welcome. You were added because you are one of Ohio Democrats’ best supporters. For those of you who are returning, welcome back.
We need to fill you in on everything that happened this week, so let’s jump right in.
WE WON!!! (Again)
In case you haven’t heard, Ohioans passed Issue 1 Tuesday.

THANK YOU again to those of you who volunteered and donated. Thanks to you, Ohioans sent a clear message to the out-of-touch Republicans who run our state: WE WON’T GO BACK.
While we celebrate this incredible win, and our second statewide back-to-back win, the Senate President Matt Huffman and Speaker of the House Jason Stephens are already looking for ways to reverse this progress.

And on Wednesday, 27 statehouse Republicans issued a joint statement stating their intent to keep anti-choice laws in place in Ohio.
Republicans can’t seem to understand that the majority of Ohioans have made their stance clear: Ohio is a pro-choice state.
It’s clear the Republicans aren’t used to losing or feeling the ramifications of their actions. That’s what happens when you gerrymander yourself into safe seats.
It’s also no coincidence that the three Republican candidates running in the GOP Senate primary all support a national abortion ban. If they are elected they will go to Washington to try to override the will of the Ohio voters through a national abortion ban.
This is what we’re up against. A Republican party who act in bad faith and against the will of the people rather than fighting for Ohioans.
We’ve already turned our attention to 2024, which includes fighting back against gerrymandering that puts these out of touch Republicans in the Statehouse, re-electing our frontline Congressional candidates, flipping the Supreme Court, winning statehouse seats and sending the premier fighter for working Ohioans, Sherrod Brown, back to the U.S. Senate.
Consider chipping in to help with our fight in 2024.
Veterans Day

Ohio is proud to be home to hundreds of thousands of veterans and their families who served our state honorably and were willing to make the ultimate sacrifice to keep us all safe. While we can never repay the debt we owe them, Ohio Democrats are working everyday to make sure our service members, veterans and their families have the resources they need when they come back home.
From passing the PACT Act that connects veterans to lifesaving healthcare and benefits to cracking down on predatory colleges that prey on veterans and their families, Ohio Democrats will always stand strong with our veterans and military community.

Until Next Time
2023 has been a monumental and hopeful chapter of Ohio’s story that deserves much celebration. Control of the U.S. Senate and U.S. House will undoubtedly run through Ohio in 2024. Ohio will also be the only state in the nation with an opportunity to gain control of the state Supreme Court. With two statewide wins under our belt, Ohio Dems are ready to win – again. Consider chipping in to help us win in 2024 and beyond!
If you’re unsure about how much more you can contribute, simply reply to this email. We’d be happy to help.
As always, thank you for standing with us. I am immensely grateful for your partnership.
