Celinda Lake (President, Lake Research Partners) is one of the most respected Democratic pollsters in the country. She is also an expert on electing women candidates and framing issues to women voters. Celinda will share her latest research on what issues matter to women and how we can message on these issues to activate women voters.
Wayne Liebman (Founder, Blue Voter Guide) will explain how voter hesitation because of lack of information inspired him to develop Blue Voter Guide, a website where anyone can go to find out what’s on their ballot, with endorsements from trusted organizations. Check it out before the show.
Missy McGinnes (Director of Distributed Organizing, Red Wine & Blue) will tell us about their latest program “Trouble Nation,” to give suburban women the tools they need to organize their communities.
Jennie Frishtick will talk about SwipeBlue, a newly designed for Virginia app that matches the people in your contact list with the voter file to show you who is registered and who is not. The app makes it easy to text your friends to encourage them to register, to vote, or to take other important actions. Swing Blue Alliance got great feedback on the first session of “Phone Banking at the Top of Your Game” so they’re doing it again! This time with a special emphasis on the skills you’ll need to get voters to the polls in the last few weeks of the election season. Also valuable for canvassers! Expect an open discussion on what works and what doesn’t, followed by another practice session with your favorite chatbot phone banker, Dottie. This time, Dottie will focus on using her best tactics to coax voters to the polls and bring their friends.
