Postcarding Parties for Ohio’s abortion rights vote!
Join us in Woodland, Davis, and West Sacramento for postcarding with friends! We’ll be meeting at a member’s home and writing postcards to Ohio voters urging support for reproductive rights in the November 2023 election. Abortion rights remain at the top of many voters’ issues and will be key to a blue trifecta in 2024. Another win for abortion rights in a red state (remember Kansas?) will demonstrate strong, enduring support among a wide swath of America. What better way to set the tone for 2024?
The address will be sent after registration the day before the event.
Postcards, stamps and writing supplies will be provided, as well as refreshments.

The MAGA War on Our Schools- Yolo County local action: notecard writing and canvassing
Right-wing attacks on our schools and the rights of LBGTQ students are a national astroturf attempt by a very small minority to distract and divide us, and unfortunately we see that Yolo County is not immune from this blight.
The best remedy is to take action! Canvassing to collect signatures on the Recall MacDonald campaign is on-going. You can also help the campaign by participating in a notecard-writing campaign (this week) to reach out to voters in Woodland Area 2! Our notes will highlight the importance of signing the Recall Petition to respond to the extreme and hateful attitudes MacDonald has expressed to the detriment of Woodland students.
EVERYONE regardless of location can write notecards and canvass. If you live in Woodland Area 2 you can also sign the recall petition.
|Recall MacDonald volunteer interest form (let them know if you’re interested in canvassing, notecard writing, or both)|

Online phonebanks for Virginia- Sundays and Mondays
Sister District Yolo is running online phonebanks on Sundays from 2-4 pm PST and Mondays from 2-4 pm PST to call voters in Virginia. We talk to a real voter using an online script.
Virginia is the last state in the South with access to abortion. Voting rights, gun safety, climate solutions, and LGBTQ rights are also on the line.
Training is always available for first-timers or volunteers who need a refresher course. Your host will be Rebekka, Kelly, Amy, or Betsy, who will get you up and running quickly.
Register to receive Zoom information.

Dan is a co-host of Pod Save America, Former Senior Advisor to President Obama, writer of books e.g. “Battling The Big Lie,” and author of the “Message Box,” a Substack newsletter about politics from someone that works in politics. Trump and his allies are flooding the zone with BS to confuse and exasperate a weary public. Learn from Dan how all of us can push back on the flood of lies.
Save the date! September 30 and October 7- Davis Farmers Market
Yolo Indivisibles- please mark your calendars and come out to the Davis Farmers Market Sept 30 and Oct 7, when Indivisible Yolo will be joining with the Davis College Dems to register voters and also to actively recruit volunteers (like you?) to help us register voters this fall in key Central California districts like CA13 that should be an “easy flip” in 2024 if we get out the youth vote!
