GOP Scandals

GOP Senate Primary? More like GOP Scandal Primary!!

This week, NBC4 in Columbus reported that Lying Frank LaRose moved the Secretary of State’s office (for the first time in over two decades) to the same address listed on his FEC filing for  his U.S. Senate campaign.

Pause for dramatic effect

Yes. The same address as his U.S. Senate campaign.

What’s worse? The move to the new building will cost Ohio taxpayers $400,000 up front and an additional $200,000 over the next two years.

Personally, think it’s kind of sketchy to be running your official statewide office and your senate campaign out of the same building.

The move definitely doesn’t pass the smell test, and the scandal raises a series of questions about whether LaRose is using his government position to benefit his campaign. This latest sketchy move shows that LaRose is driven by a desire for power and will stop at nothing to get it.

Meanwhile, Millionaire Matt Dolan is up to the same shady ways. After he lost the 2022 GOP Senate Primary, Dolan started the Ohio Matters PAC which he claimed would be aimed at supporting like-minded GOP candidates.

However, we are now more than a year past the formation of the PAC and Ohio Matters has spent more money on Dolan’s campaign consultants than other candidates. And Dolan never made the personal contribution he promised when the PAC kicked off, despite coming from a wealthy family and being flushed with cash from his cheap loan.

We’re not sure how Dolan will move at any given moment. The only thing we can be sure of is that he doesn’t have Ohioans’ best interests at mind, and he’ll always side with his wealthy cronies who are bankrolling his campaign.

Vote YES on Issue One

In November, voters will head back to the polls to vote on the new Issue One, a ballot initiative that seeks to protect abortion rights and other reproductive freedoms in Ohio’s Constitution.

Because making this amendment Issue One less than a month after the August Issue One campaign wasn’t enough trickery, the five-member Ohio Ballot Board, led by anti-choice advocate and Ohio Secretary of State Loser LaRose, approved anti-choice language to be used in the initiative, which may further confuse voters.

LaRose is making a bold choice by once again inserting himself closely into an issue campaign and gave the deciding vote to approve the language in a 3-2 final vote. You’d think LaRose would remember what happened the last time he strongly advocated for a ballot amendment. (He lost.)

We’ll be very clear. A yes vote keeps the government out of our family’s personal medical decisions. Ohioans should have the freedom to make personal, private decisions for themselves and their families without corrupt politicians inserting themselves in the process.

We are Pro-Choice, Pro-Women, and Pro-Issue One. Join us in the fight.
