Today is the day for the Democratic Primary in the Special Election for State Senate District 42! This seat has long been one of the most important voices for Democrats in our county and our state. Be sure to exercise your right to choose Charleston’s next State Senator.
The district (mapped below) includes parts of West Ashley, Downtown Charleston, and North Charleston. The Democratic Candidates are State Representatives Wendell Gilliard, JA Moore, and Deon Tedder.
Polls are open from 7am to 7pm today, Tuesday September 5th, and you can vote at your regular polling location. Check SCvotes.org to see if you are in District 42, and confirm your registration and polling place.
