We need your help!

Debi Riley for Fort Walton Beach City Council

Recently Fort Walton Beach City Councilman Larry Patrick resigned due to health issues. Nominations to fill the vacated seat for the next two years until the next general election will be accepted during the next two Fort Walton Beach city council meetings, scheduled for August 22 and September 12. We need as many people as possible to attend these meetings, to voice support for Debi Riley, starting Tuesday.

Fort Walton Beach City Council Meeting

Tuesday, August 22, 20236:00 p.m.

Council Chambers 107 Miracle Strip Pkwy SW Fort Walton Beach

Debi is undeniably the person most eligible to step into Councilman Patrick’s spot. She was the candidate with the next highest number of votes in the election this past March, coming in closely behind Larry Patrick in the recent March election. Additionally, she only lost by 65 votes in the 2021 election. She is the people’s choice to replace Larry Patrick, as shown by their actual votes. Debi would provide greatly needed diversity and insight to the city council to ensure we are moving the city forward for all citizens and businesses. Again, we need as many people as possible to appear in person to show support for Debi at Tuesday’s meeting. We hope to see you there!

The Clean Water Festival

In the August Newsletter, we featured the Right to Clean and Healthy Waters amendment. Nothing but air is more important to sustaining life than clean water, but this amendment is struggling to collect the 750,000 petitions still needed to get on the 2024 election ballot. WE NEED YOUR HELP!

Florida Democratic Party Chair Nikki Fried’s TAKE BACK FLORIDA Statewide Tour

Nikki Fried’s statewide tour is going into its 4th week, building momentum. She will visit the Panhandle next week, and we encourage you to attend! So far over 1,000 Democrats from across the state have joined the tour stops, committing to registering voters and signing them up for vote by mail, a critical effort for the 2024 elections. Let’s show her a great turnout!
