Use AI to customize messages and images to better reach minority groups in their own languages.
ChatGPT and other AI apps make it easy to translate and read out aloud messages to reach minority communities in their languages. Freedom Over Fascism from ASO Communications was used to test how this could be done. AI apps were used to automatically translate the message into six languages, generate voice recordings, create images which were embedded in an interactive infographic.

How to use AI to extend your message’s reach
The ‘Protect Our Freedom’ message was translated into different languages with ChatGPT using a prompt like “Translate and shorten this into casual every day Spanish…”. This approach produces a better message than just using Google Translate.
The translated messages were verbalized with AI apps like NaturalReaders and SpeechMax. AI translators generate more life-like recordings in addition to letting you to adjust the speed and pitch of the translation. The recordings were uploaded to SoundCloud and a link generated for each recording.
An image for the infographic was created with MidJourney, another AI app with a prompt like “statue of liberty facing camera with American flag in background realistic photo“.
This image was used to create an infographic with the Infogram app and connected to the Soundcloud recordings.
