Blue Thursday is coming, with a bonus from TimeLine Theatre
We’ve just added a little fillip to the schedule for Blue Thursday, which comes up this week, May 18, at the Hideout. Chicago actor Maura Kidwell will treat us to an excerpt from TimeLine Theatre’s current production of What the Constitution Means to Me. We’ll have a discount code available if you want to see the whole show, and you will.
Then we’ll hear from our special guests Eric Zorn, the former Tribune columnist who’s now publisher, editor, and staff of the Picayune Sentinel on Substack; and Brandon Pope, WBEZ reporter/podcaster and anchor of Block Club’s On the Block Chicago on WCIU 26. They’ll riff on the recent election and the new mayor, on Kim Foxx’s departure from the State’s Attorney’s office, on the Com-Ed four, the machinations at City Council, the presidential race, or whatever strikes their fancy. 1354 W. Wabansia; doors open at 5:00, program starts at 6:00. Bring a few friends: it’s free and open to all, but please help us manage the crowd with an RSVP here.
Blue Thursday is our monthly mixer at the Hideout, meant to give like-minded and amusing people a chance to have a drink, talk shop, and rub elbows with political insiders. Join us this Thursday and the third Thursday of every month.
If you can’t make it this time, watch the livestream at facebook.com/IndivisibleChi or listen to the recorded audio at 5 PM Saturday, May 20, on WCPT 820, Chicago’s Progressive Talk.
