
Today, the U.S. Senate is expected to hold the first vote on the Equal Rights Amendment (ERA) since March 1972 – 51 years. This is a vote on SJRes4, which affirms and validates the Equal Rights Amendment as the 28th Amendment of the U.S. Constitution. The vote will be live-streamed by the ERA Coalition on Facebook and YouTube. A press conference will likely follow the vote. Follow the @ERACoalition on Facebook and YouTube to get the latest news.

- Laura Brill will explain The Civics Center’s mission to register to vote every eligible high school student in America by providing free training and easy-to-use resources that enable students, educators, and partners to run voter registration drives in high schools.
- Sister District’s Jarvis Houston and Susan Farrell will talk about their 2023 plans and the candidates they are endorsing.
- 51st Collective Managing Director, Jennifer Kitchen, and board members, Bob Fasick & Antonia Fasick, will address how the organization provides an immediate safety network for people in crisis.

Freedom Virginia Communications/Digital Internship Summer 2023
Freedom Virginia is seeking an intern for the Summer 2023 term. Interns with Freedom Virginia will gain experience with the functions of a state political advocacy organization. This is a unique opportunity to gain real-life experience in politics. This is a part-time paid internship. The position will be compensated on an hourly basis with a rate of $16/hr. This internship is a great opportunity for someone who is passionate about electing candidates who prioritize people over corporations. The internship will take place virtually, ideal candidates are based in Virginia. College credit will be accepted on a case-by-case basis. Please share and sign up here.
Virginia Beach School Board Postcard Campaign
Join this new, timely, and targeted postcard effort launched by local Black women in the Virginia Beach area to reach out to other Black women who might not be aware that MAGA Republican groups are masquerading as local concerned parents and bullying the Virginia Beach school board into eliminating the teaching of Black history.
