How to support East Palestine, Ohio

1 min read

The Ohio Scoop is your weekly campaign fix, filled with the most up-to-date information about Ohio Democrats and everything happening on the campaign trail here in Ohio. This week, Ohio made national news again for all the wrong reasons. Instead of our normal updates, we want to use The Scoop to bring attention to an ongoing issue affecting Ohioans.

Like all of you, we’re horrified by the February 3rd train derailment in Columbiana County and are holding our East Palestine neighbors in our hearts. In times of crisis, Ohioans come together to help their neighbors in need. If you can, please consider donating to the East Palestine Relief Fund at the Brightside Project – a Columbiana County nonprofit providing food and materials to community members in need.

We’re grateful for anything you can do, and we’ll continue to push for accountability and justice for those who have been affected by this terrible crisis.

DemCast is an advocacy-based 501(c)4 nonprofit. We have made the decision to build a media site free of outside influence. There are no ads. We do not get paid for clicks. If you appreciate our content, please consider a small monthly donation.

The people of Ohio deserve a government that supports their hard work and shares their hopes for the future. Our platform represents the Democratic vision for our State, embracing and implementing the dreams of Ohioans. We firmly defend these American beliefs, values, and traditions and are fighting hard every day to elect Democrats who have the experience and ideas to improve our state and who will hold Columbus accountable.
