Training pro-public school candidates

Thanks to the support of grassroots donors like you, we just finished our first training for potential School Board candidates in Pittsburgh, PA!

Conservative extremists are taking over School Boards, trying to ban books, ban the Pride flag, and ban open discussion of race and gender in our classrooms.

We’re training an army of pro-public education activists to fight back, teaching finer points of education policy and organizing tactics that work.

Join us January 21st for a virtual session, or at our next in-person session on February 4th in West Chester, PA. Sign up here, and share the application with anyone you think could benefit.

And, these trainings are free for candidates, but we incur real expenses to run them. Help us pay for training sites, trainer costs, printing, and more by donating to Promote the Vote PA today.

The latest wave of conservative extremism on School Boards didn’t come from nowhere.

It was nurtured by dark-money groups operating on a national scale. They’re taking aim at diversity and equity in our schools, especially attacking LGBTQ+ youth.

To fight back, we need to train local activists who will fight back in their communities, and restore sanity to our school boards.

Over 2,000 School Board seats are up for election this year in Pennsylvania alone. Will you help us fight back?
