Friends,

The 2022 midterms are about wrapped up. While we had some disappointing losses, we secured some crucial wins for Ohioans.

Democrats faced an onslaught of corporate cash, illegal, GOP-gerrymandered maps, and widespread lies and misinformation by Republicans in Ohio and nationwide. But despite those obstacles, there were silver linings in the results.

We saw some crucial Democratic wins: Emilia Sykes and Marcy Kaptur won in two of Republicans’ top-targeted House seats. And Greg Landsman defeated Rep. Steve Chabot to flip OH-01 blue. These leaders won because they spoke to the needs of everyday Ohioans and delivered for their communities.

We’ll use that success and momentum to build, organize, and continue fighting for Ohioans in the coming weeks, months, and years.

We want to thank the thousands of people who stepped up over the last year and volunteered, donated, and voted. We are immensely grateful and proud of our candidates who fought tooth and nail to deliver for working families across our state.

We owe it all to this incredible team of grassroots supporters. We wouldn’t have made it this far without your unwavering support.

Sincerely,

The Ohio Democratic Party
