Sign the petition for Lieutenant Governor Gilchrist to be nominated come convention day. We need 600+ signatures by Saturday!

To all members of the Michigan Democratic Party in good standing:

The MDP’s Nominating Summer convention is right around the corner, and we hope that you’ll join team Whitmer this weekend!

You should have received an email from the MDP regarding instructions for credentialing on the Voatz app. Please get credentialed as soon as possible, and please encourage your networks to do so as well to sign the petition to get Lt. Gov Gilchrist on the ballot!

If you do not see an email regarding this, please be sure to sign this form, where someone from the party can assist you. On this app, upon getting credentialed, you have the opportunity to sign the petition to nominate the Lt. Governor at the convention. Please be sure to sign the petition. It will be accessible on the homepage of the Voatz app upon being credentialed.

If you are ready to get started, follow these steps below.

Note: If you have already created a Voatz account previously, you can proceed directly to Step 3.

Download the Voatz app on your smartphone (Apple, Android)
Open the app and sign up with your mobile number and the same email where you received this message (this is important)
From the app home screen, tap Verifications, then tap Add Organization
Enter your unique security info (above)
Return to the home screen and tap the refresh button ()
Tap Polls to provide your preference on whether you will be attending the convention in person or not
Petition signing begins Monday, August 15th at 9am and closes Thursday, August 18th at 11:59 PM ET. To complete and sign your candidate nominating petitions, tap Petitions from the home screen. Note: You will see a petition for the Lieutenant Governor position only at this time. All other candidates seeking nomination satisfied the petition signatures requirement ahead of the endorsement convention and were endorsed by the MDP in April of this year.
Credentialing will close on Saturday, August 20th at 2pm.
All votes will be taken on the convention floor.
Convention will be held at the Lansing Center in Lansing on August 20-21.
