SCROLL DOWN – THERE’S LOTS GOING ON!
New Hampshire
Flipping the state House of Representatives is critical if for no other reason than it selects the Secretary of State, the person who oversees elections. Out of 400 House members, 150 can be identified as right-wing. In 2020 the House was lost by 1,316 votes, and 17 districts were lost by under 200 votes. The right-wing has control of 83 house districts and 80 towns. What this means literally is that every single vote counts.

Wisconsin
Authoritarians are threatening Wisconsin’s free and secure elections. RepresentUs wants to make sure everyone in Wisconsin knows about it. The best way Americans across the country can fight back is by helping to educate voters in Wisconsin about what’s happening in their backyards.
- Join RepresentUs on Tuesday, June 21st or June 28th to make calls.
Pennsylvania
Help flip the state legislature blue! Thanks to a non-partisan redistricting committee that created a more fair map, Democrats have a decent chance at flipping the state legislature blue! However, this won’t happen without your hard work. You can take action to support state legislative candidates in the November general election. Sister District has identified two PA candidates, one incumbent and one challenger, who need our help.
- Join supported phone banks run to support Rep Dan Williams (Tuesdays & Thursdays) and Melissa Cerrato (Wednesdays)
North Carolina
Re-electing NC State Senator Sydney Batch is critical. Republicans are perilously close to a supermajority in the state legislature and, if successful, can override Governor Cooper’s veto and pass bills that limit access to abortion, increase voter suppression, curb progress on gun safety legislation, and more.
- Join Lean Left and co-sponsors for an evening with NC State Senator Sydney Batch—with special guest NC State Representative Ricky Hurtado—on Monday, June 27 at 8 pm ET. Senator Batch will discuss her priorities, her district, and the dynamics of her re-election campaign. And you can donate right then and there to help Sydney hire talent and build a winning campaign! Flip the Pennsylvania Legislature!
There is much at stake in Pennsylvania in 2022. There are open seats for Governor, Lt Governor, Attorney General, and Senate. Of course, all of the US House seats are in play.
Nothing is more exciting than the fact that with new fairer state legislative maps, Dems have a real shot at flipping the PA House of Representatives. They also need to hold or make inroads in the less favorable State Senate map.
Join Lean Left in supporting a set of nested state legislative races (one State Senate and three State House) that can change the balance of power in Harrisburg to protect abortion rights, pass gun control legislation and fight for other progressive values.
State Senator Katie Muth is a fragile incumbent. She was first elected in 2018 when she defeated the Republican incumbent. She has been a champion of environmental protection, even taking on her own party over gas lines. The Republicans want this seat back!
State Representative Dan Williams is a House incumbent whose district lies within Katie’s. With 2020 redistricting, his district has changed a great deal. He has to introduce himself to his new constituents.
Challenger Cathy Spahr’s district also overlaps Katie’s. Democrats have come close to flipping this one in the last two elections. As a working single mother of two, Cathy understands well the challenges facing working families.
Challenger Paul Friel narrowly lost to the Republican incumbent in his district (embedded in Katie’s Senate district) in 2020. Paul is a small business owner with strong and deep ties to his district including as a current member of his local school board.
Dear Lean Left,
I just wanted to drop a quick note to say thank you for all of the small dollar donations my campaign has received from your amazing supporters in VT. Please let them know how much I appreciate them and that they truly are making a difference for races like mine in PA! —Katie
