Long COVID patients at risk from GOP scheme to kill ACA and coverage for pre-existing conditions
Almost a million Americans have died from COVID. Millions more suffer from Long COVID. The GOP 11 Point Plan kills ACA with its insurance for pre-existing conditions.
Rick Scott (R-FL), the richest Senator leads the Republican campaign to win back the Senate. Scott loved Medicare and Medicaid when he was defrauding it to make millions. Now that he’s been fined and can’t make any more money off it, he’s on a vendetta to take away our healthcare.
Check this map for the suffering that’s coming if Republicans succeed in killing ACA with their 11 Point Plan.
Suffering from the GOP 11 Point Plan

ACA Covers pre-existing conditions
Health insurance companies cannot refuse coverage or charge you more just because you have a “pre-existing condition” — that is, a health problem you had before the date that new health coverage starts. Health insurers can no longer charge more or deny coverage to you or your child because of a pre-existing health condition like asthma, diabetes, or cancer, as well as pregnancy. They cannot limit benefits for that condition either. Once you have insurance, they can’t refuse to cover treatment for your pre-existing condition.
Long COVID
Some people with COVID-19 have “long COVID” or lingering symptoms for weeks or months after they begin to recover. More than 40% of people who have or had COVID-19 get long COVID. Among people who needed hospitalization, the stats go up to 57%. About 10% of people between ages 18 to 49 who have COVID-19 get long COVID. The odds go up to 22% for those 70 or older. It can happen to anyone, whether you’re otherwise healthy or have other health conditions. You can get it even if your earlier COVID-19 symptoms were mild or moderate. – WebMD
Long COVID is a pre-existing condition. People suffering from it may be denied health insurance if Republicans are re-elected and pass the GOP 11 Point Plan which proposes ending ACA and its coverage of pre-existing conditions.

GOP Scheme to kill ACA (again)
“All federal legislation sunsets in 5 years.” – GOP 11 Point Plan. The Affordable Health Care Act is federal legislation. Social Security, Medicare, Medicaid are also federal legislation.
“Rick Scott (R-FL)is the richest Senator and leads the Republican campaign to win the Senate. Scott was the CEO of Columbia/HCA. Scott in charge in 1997 when the company was fined $1.7 billion for overbilling and defrauding Medicare and Medicaid, which was the largest health care fraud in U.S. history at the time. He was forced to resign and said he took “responsibility” for the fraud, said responsibility apparently requiring him to invoke the Fifth Amendment some 75 times while under oath.” – Salon
