Philadelphia, PA— On Thursday, April 28, 2022 at Noon, EST via Zoom, the PA Budget and Policy Center will be joined by ACRE to discuss a new analysis that disputes much of Pew’s findings, the need to raise progressive revenue, and the proposed municipal wealth tax.

The briefing will feature a short presentation on PA Budget and Policy Center’s publication entitled “Philadelphia Needs to Create Jobs and Reduce Poverty: Tax Cuts Won’t Do It,” which challenges the notion that the City of Philadelphia is among the top cities in tax revenue per person, and that the sole approach to job creation is through relaxing business taxes.

Speakers: President Cathy Scott, AFSCME District Council 47; Marc Stier, Director, PA Budget and Policy Center; Kehinde Akande, Research Fellow, Keystone Research Center

When: 12Noon, EST Thursday, April 28, 2022

Where: On Zoom. Click here to register.
