Change starts right here in Yolo County

4 mins read

Cynthia Rodriguez for Yolo County District Attorney:

Yolo County is overall more progressive than average. It’s easy enough to get complacent and think the problems are mostly elsewhere. But the current Yolo County District Attorney Jeff Reisig is a “lock ’em up” conservative who was contemptuous of the idea there could be a racial bias problem in Yolo County- even after the data proved a vast over-representation of Black people incarcerated during his time as DA.

While most Indivisible issues require a huge focus on the national stage and even state legislatures, racial justice is one issue that often must be addressed locally. Indivisible Yolo members have endorsed the only progressive candidate for District Attorney, Cynthia Rodriguez. Help us elect someone who will actually improve public safety, support crime victims AND bring us much needed criminal justice reform.
