DACA OUTREACH INITIATIVE

DACA United SC teamed up with SC Appleseed for a DACA Outreach Project (check out the website for more information about the project). We will be making calls to voters who are pro-DACA or lean toward DACA, asking for their views on DACA, and requesting they reach out to their legislators. We will host a virtual phone bank to knock out as many calls as possible together. The volunteers will be calling people from Beaufort, Berkeley, Charleston, Colleton, and Dorchester counties.

If volunteers can’t participate in the phone bank, they can do calls in their free time, and we will send the materials they need. We will host a training for volunteers, and provide training materials. We are working to finalize a date for the training, but we will announce the date once it is finalized. If interested, please fill out the Google form through the button below, and the organizers will be in contact with you.

COVID-19 VACCINE

As case numbers continue to be high in South and across the country, we want to do everything we can to protect our communities. Therefore, we want to ensure that we provide resources to help people who have not already been vaccinated against COVID-19 to find a nearby place to get the vaccine, which you can do through the button below.

We cannot stress enough that we must not give up the fight against the virus. And getting vaccinated is a vital part of that fight!

OFFICE VOLUNTEERS FOR OCTOBER

If you are interested in making a difference in your community, please take time to consider running for office. The South Carolina Democratic Party has put out a form for individuals to express interest in running. You may think that it is too early to start thinking about this, but electoral success will require carefully laid out plans, which in turn require time.
