CANVASS IN NORTH CHARLESTON THIS SATURDAY
We are excited to have our second voter registration and canvassing event this Saturday morning (June 26th), from 10 AM-12 PM, as part of our Vote Where You Live Initiative. We will meet in the CSL Plasma parking lot at 3725 Rivers Avenue. It’s a large parking area just off the intersection of Rivers Avenue and McMillan Avenue, across the street from McDonalds. We will then canvass two underperforming, highly Democratic precincts in North Charleston. We will talk to voters in these precincts about what issues matter to them and make sure that these voters in important precincts have an opportunity to register if they have not already.
We had an excellent turnout for our first canvass at the end of May (35 volunteers!) and would love to see that level of volunteer participation this Saturday as well! It is absolutely vital that we start our voter outreach now to prepare for building a strong position for 2022 and beyond. The canvassing event is just the first step in the process of creating a Blue Wave in the Lowcountry! Please sign up using the button below.
We are getting busy reaching out to Democrats across the county by door knocking, calling, and by mail. Want to help out but don’t have time to volunteer? Donate some stamps! We need first class stamps for letters and (especially) lots of postcard stamps for our Postcards to Voters campaign!
The office is open each Monday, Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday from 10 AM to 4 PM. If these times do not work, please email email@example.com to make other arrangements to drop off the stamps.
Message from the Chair
“Do what is easy and your life will be hard. Do what is hard and your life will become easy.”
— Les Brown
It’s easy to just sit and do nothing about the issues that we’re experiencing in South Carolina. But we’re Democrats and we will do what is hard to make certain that we defend the welfare and interest of everyone in our state.
We need your time, treasure and talent. We need you donating and knocking on doors. With your help, we will turn this state blue.

All meetings until further notice will be conducted “virtually” using Zoom. You can connect by computer or telephone. We will continue to use MobilizeAmerica to RSVP.

Coffee with DemocratsJoin fellow Democrats for a cup of coffee, some of the best baking in Charleston, and great conversation. No specific topics. Come for the whole time or just a little while.
We’re going back to Wildflour Pastry and we’re excited, but if it’s too far for you to get there, or if working from home won’t really allow working from Wildflour, there’s still a Zoom link that you can access below. The people who Zoomed last week mostly heard traffic, so we’ll try moving further from the road. And maybe we’ll be inside soon.Wildflour Pastry Click here to Access the Zoom >

SCDP: READY TO RUN FOR OFFICE?
If you are interested in making a difference in your community, please take time to consider running for office. The South Carolina Democratic Party has put out a form for individuals to express interest in running. You may think that it is too early to start thinking about this, but electoral success will require carefully laid out plans, which in turn require time. You can access the link via the button below.
