RECAP OF VOTER CANVASSING EVENT

Thanks to all of our volunteers on the first day of our Vote Where You Live registration drive this past Saturday. You were terrific—and if we can follow up your efforts, you’ll be historic. Look for an announcement soon of our next step—two precincts in North Charleston.

During this event, volunteers knocked on the doors of individuals in two highly Democratic precincts. We were joined in our efforts by  SC gubernatorial candidate and former US Representative Joe Cunningham and the recently-elected 3rd Vice Chair of SCDP Jalen Elrod.

Our volunteers are demonstrating a commitment to putting in the time and the effort to position Charleston County for a Blue Wave next November! Through this event, we engaged many new volunteers in CCDP and were able to talk to voters about issues that mattered to them. We also registered 7 new voters, which is incredibly exciting! The work we put in now will pay off for years to come.

SEEKING STAMPS!

We are getting busy reaching out to Democrats across the county by door knocking, calling, and by mail. Want to help out but don’t have time to volunteer? Donate some stamps! We need first class stamps for letters and lots of postcard stamps for our Postcards to Voters campaign!

The office is open each Monday, Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday from 10 AM to 4 PM. If these times do not work, please email madelyne@charlestondemocrats.com to make other arrangements to drop off the stamps.

SCDP: READY TO RUN FOR OFFICE?

If you are interested in making a difference in your community, please take time to consider running for office. The South Carolina Democratic Party has put out a form for individuals to express interest in running. You may think that it is too early to start thinking about this, but electoral success will require carefully laid out plans, which in turn require time. You can access the link via the button below.
