Once again we asked a member of our awesome DemCast graphics team to tell the story of the last week in images. This time we feature the work of Joanne Streeck. When we asked Joanne what she wanted to share she said that “earlier in the week (I was) nervously awaiting a verdict in the Derek Chauvin trial, I encourage all to support the George Floyd Justice in Policing Act.” You can learn more about Joanne here.

As you can see below, the Chauvin verdict wasn’t all that was on this artist’s mind. She also created images centered on Earth Day, the Covid-19 pandemic and vaccine, DC statehood and the loss of former Vice President Walter Mondale, a good man who changed the vice presidency forever.
