When COVID-19 struck, Gov. Tom Wolf took decisive action to mandate masks and promote social distancing.
PA Republicans threw a temper tantrum, putting Constitutional Amendments on the May 18 primary ballot to strip the Governor of his emergency powers.
If these dangerous amendments pass, future Governors won’t be able to react quickly to pandemics, natural disasters, or terrorist attacks. They’ll have to seek input from 254 General Assembly members to protect our lives.

For over a year, reckless PA Republicans tried to force early reopenings when it wasn’t safe.
They railed against mask mandates, gathering in crowds and sparked outbreaks among their own legislators.
But they didn’t have the votes to overrule Gov. Wolf, who used his emergency powers to follow science and fight the pandemic.
We need to STOP Republican attempts to stop future Governors from reacting to crises by eliminating the governor’s emergency powers. Most voters are unaware of these amendments…we need your help to fight back.
