FIRST MORNING WITHOUT TRUMP
Did you feel that just now? What it’s like to wake up when Trump is not president? In a world where we own the House and Senate? Excuse me while I take a brief crying break. THANK YOU from the bottom of my heart and the top of my lungs to every single Field Team 6 volunteer, organizer, and donor! You made this incredible day happen!! This victory is yours. You lifted the curse on our land, and helped give Democrats the House in 2018 – the White House in 2020 – and the Senate in 2021. Those 30k Democrats you registered and over 15 million (!!!) you reached in swing states were absolutely instrumental to these victories. We now celebrate the end of a national nightmare that was so personal to us. Deep ugly has been answered by deeper beauty. We the people — the *demos* — came together to save our democracy. And watched the sanctity of our Capitol restored at a peaceful, safe, profoundly inspiring inauguration. My heart is bursting with gratitude, happiness, and hope. The joyous work now continues, with more joy than ever. THANK YOU FOREVER for what you’ve done!
THE NEW PLAN
The Resistance now becomes the Movement. What our Movement does now will decide whether or not we actually make all the progress we’ve dreamed of these last four years.
We’ve earned our survival, against all odds, by the thinnest of margins. In the Senate, our 50/50 majority is so small, it’s not even a majority! And history tells us the winning party loses seats in the midterm two years later. So there’s only one thing to do. We need to change history. In 2022, we must grow our Senate and House majorities, especially in our 8 Triple Word Score states. Our new strategy is to *also* focus on downballot races in swing states, harnessing them to register Democrats. We’ll win small races to help us win bigger ones! FIRST UP: Join our Adopt-a-Traitor campaign, already in progress! 147 Republicans voted to invalidate the 2020 election. But many of them are untouchable, safe in their hardcore Republican bastions. So we’ve done a deep data dive, and targeted the most flippable seats in the most important swing states. With your help, we can register enough Democrats to boot these traitors from the House and Senate! (Details/sign up info below!) NEXT: In March, we’ll target Texas, which will hold mayoral elections across the state on May 1, 2021. After that, we’ll roll out voter registration campaigns in each of our 8 target states: AZ, FL, GA, NC, NV, PA, TX, and WI. We’ll also ramp up our nationwide efforts in targeted congressional districts to grow our House majority. We’re looking for a supervolunteer to head up our new Adopt-a-Traitor campaign! The team lead will help run our ongoing effort to defeat members of the Seditious 147 at the polls by tracking volunteer interest in adopting certain traitors, then facilitating everything we need to get a separate campaign up and running for each traitor once interest hits a certain level.
