Office hours for our main office in Ypsilanti will increase starting October 24th.
- Saturdays, October 24th and 31st: 10 a.m.-4 p.m. inside; 11-2 outside, weather permitting
- Sundays, October 25th and November 1st: 1-4 p.m.
- Weekdays, October 26th-30th: 1-7 p.m.
- Monday, November 2nd: 10 a.m.-7 p.m.
- Tuesday, November 3rd: 10 a.m.-7 p.m.

Fundraiser: 12th District Democrats
October 24 and 25
The 12th District is working hard to motivate voters across Southeast Michigan, and they need your support to finish strong. Join them at 734 Brewing for good food and live entertainment to benefit Democrats up and down the ticket!
Tickets for in-person attendance are limited. Approximately 20 seats are available inside, and 20-30 are available outdoors, weather permitting.
Food options include Tacos El Mariachi Loco on Saturday and The Grill Father on Sunday. Entertainment provided by John E. Lawrence on Saturday and Breathe Easy Music Group on Sunday.

Yousef and You
October 24, 6:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m.
Rep. Rabhi holds two “Yousef and You” forums each month where anyone in the 53rd district (Ann Arbor) can come to get an update on legislative issues, ask questions, and participate in open discussion. Due to the coronavirus pandemic, these forums are being held virtually. Visit our event post to learn how to sign up for these discussions.
Sen. Irwin’s Coffee Hour
October 28, 6:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m.
Senator Irwin’s October Coffee hour will take place on Wednesday, October 28th at 6:00 PM. Folks can access the zoom information by filling out this form.
November General Membership Meeting
November 7, 9:30 a.m.
The November General Membership Meeting will include a brief presentation from Larry Kestenbaum, the Washtenaw County Clerk. This will be followed by a motion to consider proposed bylaw changes. Only people who register and have their MDP membership confirmed will be able to participate in this General Membership meeting. Register for this meeting here.
Participants will need to have been a member of the Michigan Democratic Party no later than October 8. Precinct Delegates, Democratic elected officials, Democratic nominees to partisan offices, and individuals whose membership lapsed inside the 30-day window are exempt from the advance membership requirement. However, those individuals must be members in order to vote and may join or renew the same day as the meeting.
Final Bylaws Proposal – The feedback and discussions surrounding the proposal over the past month have been fruitful and resulted in some nuanced yet important changes. The link included below is the final version of the proposal that will be presented at the meeting.
November 23, 6:00 p.m.The WCDP will hold a County Convention on Monday, November 23 at 6 p.m. via Zoom. The purpose of this Convention will be to choose members of the new Executive Committee. In order to vote in this convention, you will need to have been a member of the Michigan Democratic Party for 30 days (i.e., by October 24). Precinct Delegates, Democratic elected officials, Democratic nominees to partisan offices, and individuals whose membership lapsed inside the 30-day window are exempt from the advance membership requirement. However, those individuals must be members in order to vote and may join or renew the same day as the convention.An official Call to Convention along with a Zoom registration link will be issued closer to the date of the Convention which will detail the proportional voting method that will be used for selecting members of the Executive Committee. Within 30 days of their selection, the Executive Committee will convene and choose the statutory officers and other members of the Executive Board for 2021-2022. More information will be added to our event calendar here as it becomes available.
