The Power Hour!
from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM
Saturdays and Mondays through first weekend in November
A Phone Bank PowerHour is exactly that: 60 solid minutes of calling time for experienced PhoneBankers (an experienced phone banker is one who has actively called for 2 or more hours). The Virtual “doors” will open 5 minutes before the PowerHour starts; we get to work right on time and wrap up right on time. Doors will stay open for 5 minutes after to ask questions or comment on how the calls went. That’s it!
Sundays at the Cafe!
4:00 PM to 6:00 PM
If you have 2 or more hours of phone banking under your belt, please join us at the Cafe. We will be focusing on voter protection phone banks that provide voters with critical information about voting early, voting by mail, or vote in person and helps state Democratic parties recruit poll workers and poll observers. As the election nears, we’ll also be calling voters for get out the vote effort.
We’ll be concentrating our efforts in our five key battleground states: Pennsylvania, North Carolina, Georgia, Wisconsin, and Maine.
If you have not been phone banking, please review the materials and video on the Make Calls page.
Are YOU Ready for the Big Push!
After October 13th, we will not be able to offer training support at the Resistance Cafes. If you want to participate in the final push before the election, please go to the self-training resources on our website, which you’ll find on the Make Calls or Text pages. Tuesday Cafes will be both phone banking and texting. The Sunday Café is phone banking only.
Resistance Cafés on Tuesdays, (October 20 and 27) and on Sundays (October 18 and 25, and November 1) will be very focused on voter protection and get out the vote. As such, we will need to limit participation to people who have prior Resistance Café experience.
If you want to join us but haven’t participated before, please review the resources on the website and plan to join us on October 6th and 13th when we’ll be offering support. Also feel free to contact us beforehand with any questions you have.
