The 56 new people endorsing Biden include Greg Brower, a former FBI assistant director; Larry Pfeiffer, a former CIA chief of staff; and Alden Munson, former deputy director of National Intelligence. The group will start running full-page newspaper ads on Thursday in seven competitive states that will help decide the Nov. 3 election: Pennsylvania, Michigan, Wisconsin, Florida, Arizona, North Carolina and Texas, a person involved in the effort said.

Election debate officials are considering muting candidates’ mics, report says, after Trump interrupted 71 times in the chaotic first round

The commission said Wednesday that it was considering “additional structure” for upcoming debates, “to ensure a more orderly discussion of the issues.” Trump made 75% of the interruptions, breaking into either Wallace or Biden’s speech 71 times in 90 minutes, according to The Washington Post.

On Thursday, October 1, Women for Biden will host “On the Line: Women Changemakers for Joe & Kamala,” a national event spotlighting Millennial and Gen Z changemakers ahead of the election and marking Native Women’s Equal Pay Day. October 1 marks how far into 2020 the average Native woman must work to make what the average white man made in 2019.

Megan Rapinoe will kick off the call by highlighting what’s at stake for young women this November and Minnesota Lt. Gov. Peggy Flanagan will speak about economic issues facing Native women.

The call will also feature changemakers who are taking on challenges like student debt and racial injustice, including Student Debt Crisis Executive Director Natalia Abrams, activist Aminah Ghaffar, and advocate Mia Ives Rublee.
