Voter Guide News
Today is the day! Our volunteers are beginning to distribute printed guides to likely Dems in walkable locations. If you haven’t gotten yours in the mail, you might be seeing a copy on your door handle very soon! And if you can’t wait that long, don’t forget, you can download a copy (and send it to friends) from our Election Resources page.

Guides for Local Candidates
Local candidates running for things that aren’t county-wide like school board member, township trustee, or city council member are not included in the Voter Guide, but you can read about them on our Election Resource page right under the link to the Voter Guide. (Look for the green cursors.)

Ypsi, can I share?

Ypsilanti community leaders have created a new resource: www.ypsicanishare.com. It is a goldmine of information on elections and government focused on the City of Ypsilanti, Ypsilanti Township, Pittsfield Township, and Superior Township.

“These communities have long been seen as an afterthought when it comes to allocating resources and information across the county. All ‘Ypsi, can I share?’ initiatives have the goal of sharing information so that we can advocate for a more equitable system for everyone.”

 Gail Summerhill, Ypsi Activist

Bylaw Changes
It’s important for any organization to reevaluate its rules every few years to make sure they reflect the best practices of the organization. The WCDP has done just that. Bylaw changes will be proposed at the General Membership Meeting on Saturday, November 7 at 10 a.m. (A registration link is forthcoming.) Please read this email about the changes and send feedback to feedback@washtenawdems.org so we can address any issues before the meeting takes place.
