Florida Democratic Party Honors Lives Lost on 9/11
Terrie Rizzo, chair of the Florida Democratic Party, issued the following statement on the 19th anniversary of September 11th:
“We will never forget the heroes that came to the rescue of strangers, sacrificing their own lives for their fellow Americans. We will never forget how our nation came together in the days following. We will never forget how our nation rebuilt.
“We will never forget the lives lost on September 11, 2001. Today is a day we remember our heroes and think of those who were impacted most by the deadliest terror attack in history.”
Florida Democrats Announce Over 700,000 Vote by Mail Enrollment Advantage
The Florida Democratic Party announced Friday that Democrats now have expanded their vote by mail enrollment advantage to 717,000 over Republicans, with over 2.22 million Democrats now registered to vote by mail. This expanded margin is up over 200,000 enrollments from the 500,000 enrollment advantage Democrats announced over Republicans at the end of July.
In light of this announcement, the Chair of the Florida Democratic Party Terrie Rizzo issued the following statement:
“Our volunteers, partner organizations and the Coordinated campaign team have worked tirelessly to educate Democrats about vote-by-mail, and with 43 days until the vote-by-mail enrollment deadline we are excited to see this margin continue to grow.
“Democrats saw significant increases in vote by mail turnout in the August primary and we are ready to keep our foot on the gas going into November. Democrats are committed to getting out the vote and electing Joe Biden and Democrats all across Florida this election.”
In 2016, Democrats had a slim 8,800 margin over Florida Republicans. In 2018, they grew that margin to nearly 50,000 enrollments. And with just 53 days until election day, Florida Democrats hold a 717,000 enrollment edge over Florida Republicans.
