BLUE JAMBOREE GOES VIRTUAL FOR 2020!

We are excited to announce that we are working with an Emmy® award-winning producer and our very own Erin O’Connor to present a virtual Blue Jamboree featuring some very special guests, amazing musical performances and (of course) our spectacular lineup of candidates. Much like this year’s Democratic National Convention, our virtual jamboree will feature professionally produced segments about the issues that matter most to Democrats. In the weeks ahead, we’ll be announcing some incredible special appearances – including a performance by one of our favorite Grammy® award-winning musicians!

Best of all, this year’s Blue Jamboree is completely FREE and you can enjoy it from the comfort of your own home. Please consider supporting the Blue Jam (and watching in style) by purchasing some of our exclusive Blue Jamboree merchandise. We’ve got t-shirts, water bottles and koozies, and every penny goes to help offset the costs of this year’s event and elect more Democrats in November. You can also become a sponsor by visiting the 2020 Blue Jamboree Act Blue page.

Mark your calendars now for 7PM on Thursday, October 8. The event will broadcast live on YouTube Live, Facebook Live and the CCDP website. Get your gear today and keep an eye out for more announcements in the weeks ahead!

CCDP PARTICIPATES IN MARCH, SCHOOL SUPPLY DRIVE & HELPING HOMELESS IN OUR COMMUNITY

On Monday, CCDP was honored to be able to be a co-sponsor of the Million Womxn’s March held in North Charleston and support their vision of a future where tangible socioeconomic change is evident. A future with diversity and inclusion, civic leadership and issue-based activism that includes ALL womxn. #RiseSisterRise

This past Sunday, CCDP partnered with Black Lives Matter Charleston and the Lowcountry chapter of Young Democrats of South Carolina to host a school supply giveaway for the residents of the Gadsden Green Homes community. Through the generous donations from many of you, we were able to raise $3,251.00 and provide over 250 backpacks and supplies to help the students have a successful start to their school year! Thank you all for supporting and a special thanks to the law firm of Richard Hricik for their generous donation!

Last Thursday, CCDP returned to The Navigation Center to provide our second dinner service to people in our community that are experiencing homelessness. We also assisted several people in getting registered to vote! CCDP has partnered with the Navigation Center to provide this dinner service on the first Thursday of the month going forward. This couldn’t have been done without the hard work of several of our volunteers and donors!
