Save the Post Office!
Save Democracy!
Day of Action Today
at your
Local Post Office

#SaveThePostOffice

Across the country, MoveOn Org has asked us to join them to show up at local post offices across the country to save the post office from Donald Trump and declare that Postmaster General Louis DeJoy must resign.

However, given the Covid-19 situation here on Oahu and the ruling that we are to limit our gatherings to 5 people, we recommend that we instead have lots of small protests at each of our local post offices.

  • Go when it’s convenient for you
  • Make a sign
  • Be sure to wear a mask, bring hand sanitizer and water and practice social distancing
  • Please take a selfie or create a short video of why the Post Office is so important to you. Email it to Info@IndivisibleHawaii.org. We will use these selfies and videos to create our Hawaiian version of #SaveOurPostOffice video.

Helpful materials can be found at this link. https://www.savethepostoffice.net/survey/save-the-post-office-materials/?search

The link includes:

  • Wording for your signs
  • Messaging Guidance and Talking Points.
  • Chants
  • Safety Materials

Let the Congress and Senate know that the people want to keep the Post Office and its efficient and relatively inexpensive way to send and receive mail. Let them know that we don’t want a privatized system that helps big business but hurts the average consumer.

See this link for the other planned sessions in Hawaii, primarily on the Neighbor Islands
