Make Calls with PA Dems Voter Protection Team

We can get back the White House and break Republican control of the state legislature by flipping one or both chambers, but voter safety is critical. Millions of Pennsylvanians are currently making plans to vote in truly unprecedented circumstances from COVID-19 amid GOP-led voter suppression efforts.
Join Stephen Ballentine and Rachel Tait of the PA Dems Voter Protection Team to learn about the importance of making calls to recruit poll workers (to fully staff community-based polling locations) and poll observers (to monitor on-the-ground voting irregularities) so every eligible PA voter can cast their ballot safely and conveniently

Learn about voter protection teams that are working with local election officials to remove barriers that keep people from voting, by staffing voter hotlines and more. We will have guest speakers from the voter protection teams of the PA Dems and WisDems.

Texting Round Table Discussion
Wednesday, August 19, 6:00-7:30
Come join us for this discussion of texting with Lean Left texters at varying skill levels. We will share stories and insights of our experiences being in the thick of the texting world, and we’ll take your questions. The last half hour will focus on “tech support” for folks who need a little extra help navigating Slack, texting platforms, sign-up processes, etc.

We are writing postcards to Texas voters of color to encourage them to vote early and avoid long lines on Election Day. We’re also giving them a phone number to call or text to find their polling location. THESE POSTCARDS WILL BE WRITTEN NOW BUT HELD FOR MAILING UNTIL 9/5 (when the most up-to-date information about TX polling locations is made available).

The Giving Circles are really turning up the heat with an increase every month in both numbers of donors and amounts being donated. Last month’s Black Voters Fund set an all-time high for monthly giving with $14,002 raised, and this month’s Lean Left’s Southern Strategy is set to top it with $9,467 raised at just the halfway point in the month!
We’ve blown past our original goal of $50,000 for the year and now just need $20,000 to go to hit our new goal of $100 Grand. Let’s reach a little deeper into our pockets or get another 2 friends to join and let’s blow our new goal right out of sight. We can do it. Vermont demands change!
