YCDP – August 2020 Newsletter

10 mins read

We were saddened to learn of the deliberately set fire that caused the total destruction of the Maricopa County Democratic Headquarters last Friday, July 24. The Arizona State Democratic Party Offices also suffered massive and devastating damage. Both offices will be forced to relocate completely.

Thankfully no one was injured.

This appalling act is an attack on Democracy itself and will only strengthen our message. We stand united and resolute with our partners throughout Arizona. We will join together even stronger and help our friends in Phoenix rebuild, never wavering from our goal.

Total and unassailable victory in November!

Message from the MCDP Chair

Maricopa County Democratic Party (MCDP) Headquarters on Central Avenue and Thomas Rd. caught fire around 1:00 a.m. this morning. The Phoenix Fire Investigation Task Force and ATF have officially labeled this an arson investigation.

We will continue to share information with all of you as we receive it.
Our team is overwhelmed by the tremendous outpouring of support from our community, and we want to thank you all for being with us. We will move past this together and become stronger as we head toward the November election.

In Solidarity,
Steve Slugocki, Chair
