Text Voters in Georgia

1 min read

We want to start this email by acknowledging this painful moment we’re in for the nation and for the black community.

We here at Open Progress & Text Troop say unequivocally: Black Lives Matter.

We are committed in the work we do and in the organization we run to active anti-racism, committed to equity and inclusion in our organizing and in our workplace, and committed to lasting justice. To our black volunteers, team members, and candidates––know that we stand with you, and we will fight for you.

Electoral organizing is an important part of this moment, but of course, it is not a panacea for the injustice black Americans have suffered. We also know that democracy does not stop, and some folks (maybe you, DemCast) are unable to join protesters in the streets.

If you’re in a space, both physically & emotionally, to send texts with us today, we are going to be sending 100,000 texts to voters in Georgia ahead of their primary to ensure they return their ballots. If you’re all in, click below to join us in Text Troop, »

Sending you love as always, and in addition to that love, we send you a promise: we will continue to demand justice.

Black lives matter.

In solidarity,
Text Troop HQ
