INDIVISIBLE CHICAGO PODCAST SHOW NOTES FOR MONDAY, APRIL 20, 2020

  • Most of us grew up believing that Democracy was unassailable — that especially in America, Democracy was so embedded in our being that nothing and no one could tear it down. The last several years have proven how misguided that thinking was. But there are reasons to be optimistic about the future. Benjamin Page, a professor of Political Science at Northwestern and co-author of Democracy in America? What has gone wrong and what we can do about it, joins the podcast to discuss the book and shine some light in the darkness.
  • Jared Launius with a firsthand account of what Democracy under siege looks like — he’s the Swing Left Wisconsin and Illinois Field Director and he has some highs and lows from the Wisconsin primary. Contact Jared at jared@swingleft.org. Also get involved at 3states1mission.com.
