The Impeachment Trial is over! Mitch McConnell is focusing on holding a very slim majority in the U.S. Senate. The Senate, which voted NOT to allow witnesses or documents in their support of a lawless president, must be foiled. Republican senators with the notable exception of Senator Romney, made it clear that the Constitution takes a back seat to their autocratic leader, Donald John Trump. The presidential race will take care of itself, but the endeavor to flip the Senate is something we the people can work toward as the only protectors of democracy.

“In the end it’s (impeachment trial) not likely to have much of an impact on any of the races, the presidential or the Senate races,” McConnell said.

A simple majority will require 4 more seats (5 if one senator wins the nomination for president)
