On the 15th episode of the #VoteHerIn series, a partnership project of Two Broads Talking Politics/Kelly Pollock and Rebecca Sive, author of Vote Her In: Your Guide to Electing Our First Woman President, Kelly and Rebecca interview Anna Valencia, the City Clerk of Chicago. They talk about finding the confidence to lead when you’re the only woman in the room, women supporting women, and how women electeds can draw on their own life experiences to promote and enact policies that help women and girls.

Rebecca Sive. Rebecca has been a feminist community organizer, speaker, and writer since her college days advocating for reproductive rights. Rebecca has been a public official, a founder and leader of numerous national and Illinois women’s and social justice organizations, and an advisor to numerous candidates for public office. She is the author of Vote Her In: Your Guide to Electing Our First Woman President and Every Day Is Election Day: A Woman’s Guide to Winning Any Office, from the PTA to the White House.

Kelly. Born on the 4th of July, Kelly has always been a firecracker, leading a revolution of girls sitting at the boys’ lunch table in 2nd grade and founding Young Independents in high school. Since earning her Masters, Kelly has spent the past 15 years as a university administrator. In the fall of 2017, Kelly co-created the Two Broads Talking Politics Podcast with her friend Sophy. As producer and co-host, Kelly quickly built the podcast into a nationally recognized interview show, featuring Democratic candidates, activists, and authors around the country. She lives in Chicago with her husband & two sons.
