Democratic Socialism in the South (Not Your Little Lady)

1 min read

What is Democratic Socialism? Is it Bernie Sanders? Is it AOC? Is it more than just those two people? On this episode host Allison dives deep into the subject with Staci Swiney, a history professor and PhD. candidate at the University of Texas at Arlington.

They discuss the history of Democratic Socialism in the U.S. and the difference between socialism and communism. Additionally, the topics of the DSA’s thoughts on religion and the environment are discussed.

Of Note: Since it is almost election year and the interview was so good the episode is divided up into two parts. The first released today and the second released July 17th.
