Special Alert from IC-SS: Nov. 7, 2024

A Letter to IC-SS Friends

Dear Indivisible Chicago-South Side friends,

For most of us, this is a day of bitter pain. We have many reasons for our grief, rage, and fear; please know you are not alone in feeling lost or helpless. Know also that, in concert with many other local and national organizations, we will chart a way forward.

Event tonight

We are reaching out right away to alert you to an online gathering that you may wish to attend — tonight (Thurs).

These are Zoom briefings with major national democracy organizations, which have been well aware that a Trump/GOP victory was possible.

TONIGHT: Thurs, Nov 7th, 7:00 pm CT: Make Meaning of the Moment with the Election Response Center (national Indivisible, Working Families Party, ACLU, MoveOn, Public Citizen)

Moving Forward

In our regular newsletter, sent just 2 days ago, we wrote: No matter the outcome of the election, we’re staying active. Indivisible Chicago-South Side & the citywide organization Indivisible Chicago Alliance will continue to work for democracy, freedom, justice, and peace. Stay connected, stay strong!

We are so grateful to Indivisible Chicago-South Side members and friends for all your work this election season. Over 70 people took part in canvassing, phone-banking, texting, and writing letters to voters.

Now we’ll move to actions that defend people, the planet, and democracy. Our coming newsletters will have more information and actions to take. And follow us on social media (find links in the box below).

Please feel free to write to us at any time: Indiv.Chi.South@gmail.com
