As we continue our journey through 2024, a pivotal election year, we’re excited to share some key dates and events that underline our commitment to civic engagement and community involvement. Here’s what’s on the horizon for the Oakland County Democratic Party:

Hosted by the OCDP in Southfield as part of our ‘OCDP monthly meeting series. Our meeting will always feature new information and networking!

Are you part of a local club or a democratic candidate looking to share your events? Click the Google Form button at the top of this newsletter to submit your upcoming events. It’s a great opportunity to connect with the community and get the word out about what you’re doing! Stay engaged, stay inspired, and let’s make 2024 a year to remember!

October 13, 2024 – 63rd Annual Phil Hart Dinner

Location: Somerset Inn, 2601 W. Big Beaver Rd., Troy, MI 48084

Time: Receptions at 5 pm, Dinner at 6 pm

Details: This prestigious annual dinner honors the legacy of Senator Phil Hart. It features prominent speakers (TBA) and is one of the Oakland County Democratic Party’s key fundraising events. Ticket sales close on October 6, 2024.

October 15 – November 5, 2024 – AV Chase Phone Banking

Location: Hybrid – In-person at OCDP Headquarters, virtual participation also available

Days: Monday through Saturday

Times: 1-3 pm and 5-7 pm

Details: Volunteers will be phone banking to help get out the vote by reminding Democrats across Oakland County to return their absentee ballots or vote in person before the General Election on November 5, 2024.

October 26, 2024 – Cornhole with Candidates! OCDP’s Young Adult Rally

Location: The Hawk Community Center, 29995 W. 12 Mile Rd., Farmington Hills, MI 48334

Time: 2:30-4:30 pm

Details: This rally, aimed at young adults (ages 18-25), will feature cornhole games against Democratic candidates and elected officials. The goal is to motivate young adults to vote early and get to know their local Democratic candidates. The event includes light refreshments, music by a DJ, and prizes for participants.
