Saturday’s Reproductive Freedom Rally at Bayfront Park

1 min read

We hope to see you this weekend in support of reproductive freedom in Florida at Our Bodies Our Lives, a rally in Downtown Miami. Miami-Dade Mayor Daniella Levine Cava and Senate candidate Debbie Mucarsel-Powell will be a part of the rally featuring women’s stories and the leaders who are fighting to protect women’s freedoms.

In April, the Florida Supreme Court broke 40 years of precedent by removing abortion protections previously provided by the Florida Constitution, triggering a six-week abortion ban that is now in effect.

Passage of Amendment 4 in November will ensure that Floridians, not politicians, have the freedom to decide what is best for their own lives and bodies by limiting government interference with abortion.

Our Bodies, Our Lives: A Rally for Reproductive Freedom will take place from 11am to 1pm Saturday 9/14 at the Bayfront Park Amphitheater, 301 N. Biscayne Blvd.

Participants are encouraged to wear white and to bring homemade signs.

The rally is sponsored by Florida Women’s Freedom Coalition, ACLU, CIR/SEIU, Bans off Miami, Florida Democratic Party, League of Women Voters, Miami Coalition to Advance Racial Equity, Miami NOW, Men4Choice Advocacy, Ruth’s List Florida, SAVE, United Teachers of Dade, Service Employees International Union, Women’s Emergency Network and Writing Class Radio.

We hope to see you there. If you cannot make it, please remind your friends to vote Yes on Amendment 4 in Florida.
