JULY 8: Countering Voter Intimidation virtual training

On July 4, as we celebrated the greatest democracy on earth, the New York Times published an op-ed: “I Don’t Vote.”

A right-wing extremist sneered:

“If patriotism is the last refuge of the scoundrel, civic duty is surely the first. Some version of the civic-duty line is trotted out by the sort of do-gooder who hands out voter registration forms to strangers.”

To us, that’s not an insult. It’s a challenge.

At Turn PA Blue, we’re proud to hand out voter registration forms – and canvass, call, and text to get swing-state Democrats OUT TO VOTE.

We can’t fight voter suppression like this without your help. Pitch in $10 or more to Turn PA Blue’s work boosting Democratic turnout today.

Since our founding, we’ve:

  • mobilized 20,000 volunteers
  • knocked on 385,000 doors
  • sent over 6,000,000 text messages
  • made over 5,000,000 phone calls
  • wrote over 2,000,000 postcards
  • raised over $1,700,000 for candidates
  • hosted more than 1,250 trainings and events.

…and this November, we face our most crucial test yet.

Anti-democracy forces are preparing to intimidate and challenge voters. Fight back with a free virtual training from our sister organization, Promote the Vote PA!

Join us with our friends at Protect Democracy to learn more about some of the legal tools that private citizens can use to safeguard our electoral process. This training will instruct volunteers how to spot when voter intimidation or election disinformation may be legally actionable and when, where and how such violations should be reported.

Thirteen red-to-blue swing-state races

Why are Republicans AND Democrats nationwide pouring millions into the Pennsylvania House and Senate elections?

It’s CLOSE. PA Democrats are clinging to a 1-seat majority in the PA House, and are just a few seats away from flipping the PA Senate for the first time in decades.

It’s ABOUT OUR RIGHTS. One third of the PA General Assembly has been identified as election deniers. If Republicans take control, they can also try to ban abortion through constitutional amendment.

It MAKES A HUGE DIFFERENCE. In a state legislative race, your $10 goes much further. And, you’ll get Democrats out to vote in a pivotal swing state.

As we celebrate our democracy in its birthplace, split a donation to 13 red to blue PA Senate and House candidates.

The candidates we’re highlighting today are…

Anna Thomas (PA-HD-137 Northampton), back for a rematch after coming within 2 points.

Anna Payne (PA-HD-142 Bucks), cystic fibrosis and rare disease advocate, and Middletown Township Supervisor.

Cristian Luna (PA-HD-13 Chester), advocate for domestic violence survivors.

Hadley Haas (PA-HD-44 Allegheny), leader for gun safety and the hard of hearing.

Stefanie Rafes (PA-HD-187 Lehigh), physician assistant and breast cancer survivor.

Patty Kim (PA-SD-15 Dauphin), state representative and former TV journalist.

Denise Maris (PA-HD-76 Clinton/Union), HR director and community activist.

Elizabeth Moro (PA-HD-160 Chester/Delaware), cafe owner and author.

Megan Kocher (PA-HD-119), the youngest Democrat running for PA House … against the youngest Republican incumbent.

Sara Agerton (PA-HD-88 Cumberland), social worker, healthcare administrator, and Mechanicsburg Borough Councilwoman.

Jim Wertz (PA-SD-49 Erie), teacher, broadcaster, and chair of the Erie County Democratic Party.

Nicole Ruscitto (PA-SD-37 Allegheny), educator, librarian, and basketball coach.

Eleanor Breslin (PA-HD-143 Bucks), environmental lawyer and first woman to lead Tinicum Township.

And, Turn PA Blue is the grassroots hub for Democratic organizing in America’s most important swing state!

Split a donation to expand the PA House majority and take back the PA State Senate. Celebrate democracy this Independence Week!

Defend what our founders fought for

248 years ago today at Independence Hall in Philadelphia, the signers of the Declaration of Independence proclaimed a new democracy.

This November, Pennsylvania will once again decide our fate.

At Turn PA Blue, we get Democrats OUT to vote, and persuade swing-state voters to choose blue.

This Independence Day, fight for democracy. Donate to our work defending the republic.

Help us STOP King Trump!

The Supreme Court’s radical right majority has ruled that Presidents have issued the most reckless, dangerous decision in our nation’s history.

The birthplace of our democracy may be the last defense of its existence. Please donate to help us get Pennsylvania Democrats OUT to vote.

Chief Justice John Roberts, Justices Clarence Thomas, Samuel Alito, Brett Kavanaugh, Neil Gorsuch, and Amy Coney-Barrett all testified that no one is above the law at their confirmation hearingsyet these far-right Justices have altered the paradigm of accountability by granting the President absolute immunity.

Justice Kentanji Brown Jackson writes, “The practical consequences are a five-alarm fire that threatens to consume democratic self-governance and the normal operations of our Government.”

This decision comes at a time when Donald Trump is calling for televised military tribunals and jailing his opponents, migrant fight clubs, and becoming a dictator on day one.

a, we need to elect Democrats up and down the ballot to fix this mess and protect our damaged democracy.

Our 248 year old democracy is in peril. Please make a contribution to help Turn PA Blue hold the line for our sacred Republic.
