Protect Hopewell residents and Virginia’s waterways from harm

ICYMI: The Virginia Department of Environmental Quality (DEQ) denied recent requests for a public hearing on the air permitting process of AdvanSix, even though the chemical plant has a known history of un-permitted releases of pollutants, including ammonia, oleum, nitrogen oxides, and sulfur dioxide. Now the plant wants the DEQ to grant a wastewater permit with fewer guardrails than laws allow. Email the DEQ to tell them to protect Hopewell residents and Virginia’s waterways from harm.
