Ballots Received? Time to Vote!

Yolo County voters should all have received their ballots for the March 5th primary by today! So now it’s time to vote…

While Indivisible Yolo has not made any official endorsements in this election, check out the Blue Voter Guide to see endorsements for California Prop 1, President, Senator and House races, CA Senate and Assembly races as well as the recall in Woodland, parcel taxes in Davis and then VOTE! Early voting is good for turnout and gives us time to share what we did with family, neighbors and friends.

As a reminder, a complete list of indoor and outdoor drop boxes can be found online at the Yolo Elections Office website including:

  • Davis
    • On campus by the MU, 282 Tennis Court Lane
    • At City Hall, 23 Russell Boulevard
  • West Sacramento at City Hall, 1110 W Capitol Avenue
  • Woodland at the Post Office Parking Lot (Dead Cat Alley side), 720 Court Street

Mailed-in ballots must be postmarked by March 5 and received by March 12 to be counted.

It’s Go Time for March 5 on the Road to November

Are you feeling concerned about the election in November? Let’s help turn CA-13 BLUE.

Consider canvassing with us on Saturday Feb 24 in Merced

Or Sunday Feb 25 in Lathrop with IY and Indivisible Sacramento:

Now is an excellent time to have those all important meaningful conversations with voters or give donations to “in district groups”.  Research shows that early (aka spring) actions can double or triple our impact in an election.

What is it like to do this? On Saturday members of our Walk team were in Modesto and along with more than 30 volunteers from our Bay Area Coalition partner groups, knocked on over 900 doors – in a district that was only lost by 564 votes in 2022.

Please help us get out the vote by joining our Walk team this month!

Canvassing Sat Feb 24 in Merced
Canvassing Sun Feb 25 in Lathrop

Contact your Senator: Reject Trump-Era Immigration Policies

For months, Senators have been negotiating over what’s called the “supplemental” funding package – additional money the Biden administration requested from Congress to respond to crises around the world. Republicans are playing brazen, dangerous hardball in order to force Trump-era immigration policies in exchange for support for Ukraine, and Democrats are considering caving to their demands.

Their deal is now public, and the policies on the table are nothing short of breath-taking: an end to asylum for everyone except the small number of folks who can afford to buy a flight into the U.S., a dramatic increase in the incarceration of asylum-seekers, including families, and a restart to Trump’s signature Title 42.

These policies would be dangerous and harmful enough on their own. But we’re heading into a tough election year with Trump and Trump-acolytes threatening to take back power, we cannot hand them even more tools to inflict their cruel agenda on vulnerable people.

Call your Senator now and tell them to say no to MAGA immigration policies.
