MAGA Republicans Propose NAZI-like IDs for LGBTQ to persecute

It had never before been legally restricted in the U.S. Yet Missouri has essentially banned it for adults, and other states are trying to restrict adult care. A host of other anti-trans bills are moving through state legislatures. Iowa Bill targets the LGBTQ
Republicans are redefining the word ‘equal’ in an Iowa anti-trans bill. The bill would require transgender people to be identified on birth certificates, a measure some compare to ‘pink triangles’… The Iowa house education committee met to debate House Study Bill 649, a bill proposed by the Republican governor, Kim Reynolds.” – The Guardian
“Sec.4 Section144.24, subsections 1 and 2
Code2024, are amended to read as follows: If a newcertificate of birth is established, the actual place and date of birth shall be shown on the certificate and the certificate shall include a designation of the person’s sex pursuant to section 144.23. The certificate shall be substituted for the original certificate of birth.”
