NC A. Philip Randolph Institute and Action for the Climate Emergency commit to registering young and BIPOC voters in North Carolina
A message from former Massachusetts Governor, Deval Patrick about the importance of North Carolina.
Mecklenburg County (which includes Charlotte) has the highest number of unregistered people of color and young residents in North Carolina. While white voting in NC has trended up in the last six years, Black and Latinx voting has gone down since 2018.
The way to address these gaps is to support the most effective voter registration groups in the state and, specifically, the groups working in communities of color and among young voters in the Charlotte-Mecklenburg area. Ensuring that 40,000 eligible voters who haven’t or couldn’t vote in past elections can vote in 2024 could be a statewide game-changer.
This work begins now.
All funds raised will go to two groups working in Meck County: NC A. Philip Randolph Institute and Action for Climate Emergency. Your contribution will enable these organizations to open new offices and add more staff. When these groups are fully funded, North Carolina can once again become a state that expands democratic and human rights and grows in ways that work for all of NC’s residents.
Donations will go through the statewide donor table Imagine NC First. All donations qualify for charitable tax deductions.
Upon donating, you will be redirected to Mobilize,
